People are social beings. We require and seek out emotional and physical intimacy, and our lives are enriched and fulfilled through the meaningful relationships we have with other people. Relationships support and sustain us, but they can also really stress us. For example, some people have trouble meeting new people or dating, others have serious problems within a relationship or are trying to understand why a relationship ended. Others seem to have the same problems in relationships over and over again.
We provide individual psychological treatment for people experiencing stress, anxiety or depression due to difficulties in relationships. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques are very well suited to help people understand problems in relationships, challenge their thinking and beliefs, and change their behaviour. We also offer couples therapy for couples experiencing stress and those who are just trying to make their relationship even better.
